Blogging as a writer
I've read quite a few blogs by writers in my time. They generally have one thing in common: they're about books.
There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I totally get it.
As a writer myself I want to talk about books (preferably my own, I admit) and about the mysterious act of creating them.
So I understand where these men and women are coming from.
But I have to say that I'm interested in many more things than writing.
If I started to list the things I'm interested in, it'd take me the rest of the evening.
The point is this: as a writer, I feel it behoves me to talk about the things that interest me, not just books.
So don't come to my blog expecting to hear about writing all the time. Sure, I'll post some stuff about novels and even a little advice from time to time on how to write them.
But my interests range from quantum physics to boxing to politics to drinking to exercise and God-knows-what.
So when you dip into my posts, expect to read about a lot of subjects.
Hopefully you'll find them more entertaining than most others by writers, if only because they'll be more varied.
If I'm wrong, then I guess you won't bother reading any of my other posts!
If I'm right, you might want to look at:
